After releasing their self-titled EP earlier in the year, Good Time Locomotive are back with the release of their latest single, ‘Burning’. Offering emphatic rhythms inside romantic tendencies, the London-based outfit looks to further cement themselves as an exciting creative force.
Settling in with a slow, atmospheric start before reaching out into a colourful explosion of sound and melody, Good Time Locomotive are back with a bang. Picture the scene, the sun’s out – all is well in the world, you’re looking for some new melodies and ‘Burning’ just slips right in. Making headway as a vibrant anthem, the single’s infectious melodies and drawing refrains grip you in. If nothing else, ‘Burning’ is the evidence of a band that both knows how to cut a record and how to fill a dancefloor. Showcasing its sonic depth, the single sports crunching guitar, ethereal synths, pounding percussions and much more, crossing the floor between indie pop and alt-rock to cover vast creative ground.
Speaking about the single, the band dives in, “This was the first song written by our new line up and definitely a step up, so we have really gone to town on the recording and production for this one. It’s a song all about letting go of that toxic, co-dependent, obsessive love you have for someone else. So it is about how not to be a bunny boiler basically!”
