Since their formation in 2020, Good Time Locomotive have been regulars to their local live circuit whilst quickly accumulating listeners on streaming services. Their funk-enthused indie anthems have seen them turn the heads of audiences nationwide as they gear up to release their self-titled new single ‘G.T.L’.
Bursting into the soundwaves with a pummeling drum beat, upbeat piano chops, and a heavy dose of bass-driven groove, it’s clear to see Good Time Locomotive keeping that rock ‘n’ roll spirit alive and kicking. Keeping the track fun-filled and exciting, the single paves the way for a righteous atmosphere built upon a distinctive feel-good energy. ‘G.T.L’s dazzling toplines provide a shimmering quality to the record soundwaves, outstretching an invitation to join the party and simply have a good time.
Explaining the creative process behind the release, James from the group dives in, “Funnily enough, we wrote this feel-good party rock track in the midst of the first COVID lockdown on Zoom! Hardly a party atmosphere, but maybe it was us all missing the human connection that helped give it the upbeat vibe it has. Whatever it was, the line ‘Good Time Locomotive’ seemed to suit the ‘triumph over adversity through the power of music’ message behind the songs, so we went with it for our band name.”
