Group Syrup’s self-titled debut album takes listeners on a raw, emotional journey through the ups and downs of life.
The band, formed in Lisbon through the “musician Tinder” app Vampr, brings together a unique mix of geographical backgrounds: Emre Samim Arduman from Istanbul (vocals, lead guitar), Caio Jesus from Brazil (drums, production), and Francisco Santos from Lisbon (bass, production).
In their words, they describe the album as being “a journey through hazy nights and restless thoughts, where dreams collide with reality and emotions refuse to stay hidden. A reflection on the beauty and chaos of being human.”
The album captures the feeling of late-night thoughts and the blur between dreams and reality. It’s a reflection on life’s messy moments, personal struggles, and the courage to keep going even when everything feels temporary. The music itself combines indie rock with emotional lyrical content, creating a sound that’s both intimate and energising.
It’s the kind of album that’s perfect for quiet moments of reflection or for letting loose and groovin’ through life’s chaos. Group Syrup has gone from strangers to live performers, already connecting with audiences.
Their debut album is an exciting start to what promises to be a bright future, as they aim to reach fans around the world with their unique sound. Listen to the debut album ‘Group Syrup’, out now.
