Garnering support from Spotify editorials, radio stations and a host of the music press, HANNNAHBELLA has been on the rise among tastemakers since her 2021 debut. Live, she’s opened for Baby Queen, Essiray and The Cliffords, each renowned in their own right within the Cork scene.
Alongside her latest unveiling, ‘Dainty Fae’, HANNAHBELLA announces her EP Parasite. Starting the project’s era with a new glittery, pop-tinged vision, HANNAHBELLA still involves the alternative and hyperactive tendencies of her previous releases, blending experimental with palatable.
Twinkling synth melodies, expressive vocals and grooving undertones, it’s another show of great potential which will no doubt spark excitement for the upcoming EP
HANNAHBELLA explains the story of the song, “Dainty Fae tells the story of a fae who, abandoned and consumed by loneliness, finds herself seething in self-pity. It’s a haunting exploration of isolation, yet wrapped in an unexpected, playful sonic package.
Sonically, I wanted to create a sharp contrast between the raw emotion of the lyrics and the upbeat, funky pop elements of the track. Honestly, I was initially intimidated by the fun and lighthearted vibe, but I fully leaned into it, and the recording process ended up being such a joy!”
