Nipping at the heels of the riotous success of ‘Call Back Home’, Harri Pick has released her second track of 2024, leaning back into a smoother atmosphere that explodes into a more emotional roar with ‘Just A Crush’.
Since her debut, Harri has had acclaim from across the industry, with slots on BBC Introducing and appearances alongside Gaz Coombes and Katy J Pearson.
‘Just A Crush’ is filled with compelling delivery. Harri pulls the listener into her world and speaks through unfiltered lyricism, crying out, her vocals are both intensely vulnerable and all-powerful. The outbursts of hurt, confusion and love are fiery and fit perfectly into instrumentation that crosses her usual alt-rock blaze and a twinkling pop element. Rounding out 2024, it’s another example of Harri’s unbreakable tenacity and musical talent.
Harri dives into the internal struggle that is the foundation for this new single, “Just a Crush delves into the complexities of attraction – feeling those urges for connection but wrestling with the idea of holding back. It was a fun shift to create this after my previous release‘Call Back Home’ which was a bit more intense and angry, instead of offering a lighter and more playful energy and sound!”
