Haux drops haunting new single ‘Heartbeat’ and its self-directed visuals

Following Haux‘s pivotal 2017, he has shared a new offering titled ‘Heartbeat‘ and the track’s and self-shot/directed video.

Heartbeat‘ is a strong debut for the new year from the photographer-turned-musician. Packed with haunting vocals, luscious chord melodies and minimalistic percussion the new track provides an enchanting vibe through and through. The electronic-folk talent’s cocktail of caressing vocals, humming piano, and stirring drums once again takes listeners on an introspective journey from start to finish, each murmur of his softly lulled tenor a shadow’s sigh in the darkness. Listen to the track and check out the visuals below.

I get the chills anytime I remember this day at the beach,” Haux, real name Woodson Black, explains about the video for ‘Heartbeat‘.

The landscape was so desolate it somehow made us shiver even more. I tried my best to capture that haunting feeling of being completely alone with your thoughts; those relentless kinds of thoughts that never leave you. I wanted to show that while there is always pain in remembering, there is tenderness too.

In addition to the new track and video, the Massachusetts-native has announced a new EP and companion short film titled Something To Remember which is set for release on 30th March via Ultra Records.
