Fresh from Echoes Of Solace, Dutch producer Heijmat is unveiling a new remix. Huub Reijnders, the man behind the moniker, has had a hugely successful mixing career, but now brings cinematic synthesisers to his personal releases.
Features in playlists such as Brainfood, Electronic Rising and New Music Friday, and plenty of tastemaker press, have added a global edge to Heijmat’s fanbase.
In a new Bart B More Remix, Heijmat’s track ‘Don’t Run Away’ is morphed from atmospheric downtempo breaks into a pulsating house tune. Immediately, the bass’s motion becomes the track’s foundation, plucky synth melodies powering the emotion of the vocals and the spacious electronic arrangements.
Hitting a drop, we get rolling, shivering synths, soaring leads, and shuffling topline drums. This is a warehouse or festival sunset-ready punch, masterfully combining tension-building ambience with unbridled energetic movement. It’s progressive from calming lows to stormy highs, getting under your skin and your body moving.
