Fusing Latin sonics with electro-pop aesthetics, Madrid-based songwriter/producer Hember infuses dance music with his multicultural roots, seeking to unite listeners with a feel-good energy. In 2025, he’s looking to take the next steps in his career and is infusing his tracks with the emotive experiences of his life to connect deeper with fans.
The first of 2025 is ‘SAIL AWAY’, which details the heartbreaking loss of his father. He shares, “This is a very personal song that I wrote about the loss of my dad, sadly from addiction. I talk a lot about my feelings and emotions in it”.
The lyricism is deeply thoughtful, and visceral in its delivery, but packaged into a box of optimistic sonics and energised production. Plucky synths, harmonised vocals and bouncy drums come together for a danceable anthem on the surface.
Hember’s ability to look deeper beyond these sonic stylisations is what makes his production special, the underlying themes make for a track of catharsis that would also feel right at home on the dancefloor.
