Holly Lovelady releases dreamy forest pop single ‘Sleep’

Rising Liverpool singer-songwriter Holly Lovelady shares blissful new pop single ‘Sleep’. Hauntingly beautiful and lullaby-woven melodies from Holly will nearly have you drifting off yourself, as the song title suggests.

For fans of Florence and the Machine and MARINA, Holly leans on that encapsulating forest pop sound that has become so prominent over the years, with lustful lyricism, drum machines and whirling synthesisers to give it that otherworldly feeling. It feels nostalgic yet beautifully present from Lovelady, as she further delves into her unconventional musical psyche with this gorgeous single.

Holly says “Sleep was both inspired by my own personal story and also an old friend’s personal journey. For myself It’s about seeing someone who you really like but you become scared or subconsciously unsure if you really want to be with them, you don’t know why you are unsure but that feeling of uncertainty is creeping in… I think that feeling is so common nowadays!
