Indira Ellis shares the roar of new track ‘if you’re up for it’

Growing up a classically trained singer, holding a passion for musical theatre and eventually finding her feet in the world of pop music, Indira Ellis has spent 2024 building up her stock with anthem after anthem. Since moving to NYC, she’s accepted herself via music-making and been drawn to the highs and lows of life in her writing.

Continuing to forge the true-to-life stories that fire up her fans and draw new attention, Indira Ellis now unveils her single ‘if you’re up for it’. In an anthemic slice of powerful pop, Indira switches up her production style from her previous synth-pop single ‘i don’t miss you’ for a grittier, empowered and infectious punch.

Pumping kick and clap combinations, roaring chorus guitars and a gently authoritative vocal performance filled with effortlessly intricate melodies make for a serious statement and Indira makes it with no holds barred. If you need a new break-up banger, this track is for you.

Indira explains the new single, “Technically, this song is about a friend and her evil ex-boyfriend. When I tried to introduce her to one of my favourite albums, I learned that he had beaten me to it and made the experience so unpleasant she refused to listen to any of their other works. As time went on, it became clear to me that he wasn’t right for her. When she finally broke up with him, I couldn’t say “I told you so” to her, so I wrote this song. This song is for every girl who learned the hard way that hindsight is 20/20.”
