Immerse yourself in 12 tracks of sheer jazz-rock bliss with Nuclear Monkey‘s latest album, ‘Hello Again‘. Demonstrating the creative skillset of frontman Nate Neuwirth, the album was remarkably brought to life by a talented roster of musicians he met while studying at the Frost School of Music. Recorded entirely on 4-track cassette tape, ‘Hello Again’ is a nostalgic blend of modern indie-rock influences with classic folk, jazz, and lo-fi DIY music from the 60s and 70s. The album, which took a year and a half to complete, reflects a meticulous creative process, with numerous sessions, songs, and versions left on the cutting room floor. The result is a rich, textured sound that pays homage to musical traditions while pushing forward into new sonic territory.

Hailing from the sun-soaked shores of Miami, Nuclear Monkey is a Indie Jazz-Rock band, founded by Nate Neuwirth and David Becker in 2021. The band’s debut album, ‘What Wild Ecstacy!’ was self-produced and released in September 2022. Neuwirth, now a student at the University of Miami’s Frost School of Music, recruited fellow students Tyler Pons, Eli Katz, and Giuli Machado to join the band. In Miami, Nuclear Monkey developed a distinctive live sound, blending their jazz education with psychedelic, indie, and folk-rock influences. The band garnered a notable following with their ‘Nuclear Monkey Tiny Dorm Series’ videos; live performance that sky-rocketed their social media presence. Their second album, released in May 2024, marked the first collaboration with new band members and frequent contributors Max Melo, Andreas Kellepouris, and Joel Newell. Following the album release, Nuclear Monkey embarked on a summer tour up the East Coast. The band remains active in writing, recording, and performing music in Miami – keep up to date with all of their new endeavours using the links below.
