J-Summa is a Jamaican-based soulful newcomer whose lifelong passion for music led him to release ‘Heaven and Home’ in 2023. Singing from nine years old and playing guitar from his teenage years, the artist found inspiration in the likes of Al Green, Marvin Gaye and Bobby Womack.
With his second single ‘You’re Not Alone’, J-Summa brings a gloriously uplifting presence, the sun shining down on the audience as he delivers huge, gospel-tinged vocals and ignites a glow of instrumentation underneath him.
Lyrically, the track injects optimism and faith into the listener, growing through the authenticity of wanting to bring nothing but joy to the music. Each instrument, guitars, keys, drums and a choir of vocals serves to let the music shine, with J-Summa at the centre, powering the charge.
The artist explains, “‘You’re Not Alone’ is a feel-good anthem telling people that they don’t have to carry their pains and burdens by themselves. It’s ok to open up, it’s ok to share your troubles and concerns with your loved ones. ‘You’re Not Alone’ is a song to uplift and inspire the souls of people that they are not alone on this earth and people genuinely care about them.”
