As 2025 enters its last couple of months, Jason Bembry continues to make it a seminal one, bringing introspection through a lens of gorgeously optimistic brightness once again with ‘Thankful’, a glowing pop soarer shaped by gratitude and triumph. A clear continuation of the sonic journey fans have been treated to, it’s both intimate and expansive.
A grand piano introduced an atmosphere that gracefully crosses over energised electronic sounds and heartfelt acoustics. Warmth and earnestness as central to the track’s poignance, Jason moves through stories of appreciation. Production swells, synths flourish, melodies rise, and Jason shows his mastery of making pop more theatrical or cinematic. With that, the emotional weight is transferred from writer to listener with firm confidence.
Jason shares, “‘Thankful’ has always been in the back of my mind. I was just waiting for the right moment to release it. We often take time at the end of the year to reflect on our achievements and failures. More importantly, this is a time to thank those who have supported us throughout all of it. I know wherever life takes me, I will always have the love and support from my friends and family. And I am very excited for what’s to come.”
Studying theory and composition as a trained classical pianist, Jason Bembry has stepped into the spotlight this year as a songwriter with an incredible range across the pop and rock fields, always underpinned by uplifting harmonies. There’s certainly more on the horizon for Bembry, and each track awaits another.
