New Jersey’s Jason Bembry is a classically trained pianist turned pop energiser, bringing his knowledge of music theory and composition into a fresh brand of creative introspection. He’s no stranger to releasing music, dropping his first track in 2018. In the past couple of years, however, Jason has delivered some of his best to date, and a newly started run of singles is promising the same jump in quality.
Starting out with a bright and breezy feel, the plucky synths of new single ‘Wake Up In The City’ are presented as a beautiful duet of two sonics, a lush synthesiser arrangement and a reverberant and euphoric pop vocal performance.
With that extra shine, the drums reinforce this vibrant energy, making it from joyful to danceable with punchy arrangement techniques. It’s a sparkly moment, with every element expertly intertwined.
