Hailing from Far Rockway, Jaz Vernon’s free-flowing R&B signature sound is something that’s known for letting listeners lose themselves in the music. Jaz’s musical journey started at a young age, learning piano, before moving onto trumpet and drums. His music is a blend of 90s R&B with modern sensibilities, a style that has garnered the artist plenty of radio play.
Jaz’s latest single is a new track entitled ‘Blue Coupe’. With hard hitting drums, warm melodies and an effortlessly irresistible vocal performance, the track captures the definition of good vibes. Heavy kicks and crispy claps are topped with a energetic hi-hats, with the 808 punching through the mix. Vernon’s vocal performance is laid-back, with various harmonies and counter melodies building it out into idyllic textures.
Speaking on the new release, the artist shares, “I recorded this song in my room right before traveling to LA for the first time. My in-house producer Gamal sent me the beat and Immediately started recording. It was like a long rush of adrenaline.
We don’t have time to waste. Put the pride and ego aside.”
