Jesse Will’s rise has been marked by celebrity endorsement and consistently evolving releases. He’s received widespread acclaim for a sound compared to the likes of Damien Rice and Jeff Buckley. With a new release on the horizon for 2025, Jesse has shared a new single, ‘Hold My Skin’.

Soft but subtly glittering synthesisers set the scene; Jesse uses this track to show a deep vulnerability. His heartbroken vocals take centre stage with the help of a swelling string line and a rooted piano tone.

The emotion grows with distant, echoing percussion, becoming more and more cinematic and multi-faceted. Still, there is a sense of broken, wounded feelings as he cries into the atmosphere.

Progressively, we reach new heights, seeing an angelic peak with an upward key change and a shattering core as a minor chord collapses. It’s a showcase of compositional mastery, conveying the ineffable in audio form.

Jesse shares, “I was drawn toward the conflict that when someone is fragile, human touch can comfort but also cause further harm – that was eventually reflected in Sofia’s choreography when it came to making the video. Opening up is a struggle for me, which feels at odds with being a songwriter. So, male vulnerability is central – a man traumatised and longing for love, but unable to reciprocate.”
