Jon Le Vert delivers a genre-blending, emotionally charged journey with ‘wish u well’

Alternative hip-hop artist Jon Le Vert unveils his most personal and ambitious work yet with his latest album, wish u well. A deeply introspective and genre-defying project, the self-written and self-produced record blends hip-hop, emo alt-rock, and electronic elements, crafting a sonic landscape that mirrors the past two years of Jon’s nomadic life.

A Chicago native, Jon has spent this period fully immersed in his artistry, refining his sound and pushing creative boundaries. His dedication is evident throughout wish u well, a project that feels both raw and meticulously crafted—balancing vulnerability, innovation, and emotional depth in equal measure.

Jon considers wish u well his first true artistic statement, despite releasing his debut project, DARK AGES, prior.

“I technically started this album about two years ago,” Jon explains. “It was created quietly alongside DARK AGES, which I considered more of a stomping ground to learn production, find my style, and give some backstory. It was therapeutic as hell. That said, I somewhat consider wish u well my actual debut. This is my first real attempt to create something fresh and something that I personally enjoy.”

Among the highlights of wish u well is “renaissance”, a track that encapsulates Jon’s ability to weave intricate production with raw, unfiltered lyricism. The song is a testament to his evolution as both a producer and storyteller—seamlessly blending melancholic melodies, textured beats, and deeply personal themes.

Jon Le Vert doesn’t just create music; he constructs experiences. With wish u well, he offers an album that challenges genre norms while remaining deeply relatable and emotionally resonant. His ability to merge multiple influences into something fresh ensures that his music stands out in today’s alternative hip-hop landscape.
