Justine Duvivier grew up in Savenay (Loire-Atlantique), near the ocean and far from instruments.
A self-taught artist, Justine she learnt MAO (computer-assisted music) to compose and arrange her first pieces.
This independence allowed her to freely experiment with sounds and styles.
Inspired by sound artisans such as Christophe, Laurie Anderson, Brian Eno and Warren Ellis, Justine explores textures, frequencies, resonances, distortions, in search of harmony between instruments, voices and emotions.
In 2023, she released her first independent alternative pop EP ‘Les Repères.’
The tension between anchoring and the momentum towards the unknown draws the framework of her writing.
Organic sounds mixed with electronic arrangements reinforce this duality.
Justine Duvivier becomes this character who left in the hope of renewal, but is irremediably weighed down by the memories she carried away.
She will continue this story in her first album, scheduled for a May 2025 release.
Justine Duvivier beautifully reinterprets ‘Je t’aime à l’envers’ with a stirring soundscape and beautiful vocals as she revisits the classic song from Christophe’s 1996 album ‘Bevilacqua.’
