Katie London announces new single ‘Memory’

Katie London, the East London singer-songwriter known for her captivating voice and magnetic blend of soulful vocals and infectious melodies, is set to release her latest single, ‘Memory.’ This new track promises to be another milestone in her flourishing career, showcasing her emotional depth and enduring talent. With its raw emotion and heartfelt introspection, ‘Memory’ is a soulful pop-rock love song that is bound to resonate deeply with listeners, echoing the styles of artists like Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, and Maggie Lindeman.

‘Memory’ began as a simple piano piece and evolved into a soulful pop-rock love song,” Katie explains. “It’s about the journey towards closure and self-recovery, even when moving forward feels impossible. Whether it’s about a relationship or, in my case, a period when I thought I’d never make music again, the memory lingered, haunting and driving me forward. It’s a deeply personal reflection on my journey with music and the complex emotions tied to falling out of love with it. Music has truly been a love-hate relationship for me, yet nothing in the world fulfils me more than creating it. The lyrics may sound like a typical love song, but the true meaning for me is much greater.”

Proudly hailing from Dagenham in East London, Katie embodies her Essex girl roots while captivating audiences worldwide with her music. In 2021, Katie embarked on a transformative writing journey with multi-platinum-selling songwriter Dele Ladimeji, honing her skills in the K-pop world. Her collaborations span a diverse spectrum of artists, including IAMSU, Og Maco, Powfu, Qveen Herby, Krayzie Bone, and many more. Rodney Jerkins, a notable figure in the music industry, praised her voice, saying, “Wow! Your voice reminds me of Lorde, you have a phenomenal voice.” Katie’s journey is a testament to her resilience and passion for music, making her one of the most exciting artists to watch out for.
