Katie London embraces her dark side in ‘12th of Never’

An Essex girl at heart, Katie London proudly hails from the East London town of Dagenham. After stepping away from the microphone four years ago, 2024 has seen a mighty comeback, with release after release all drawing attention in the UK and beyond. Her transformative writing journey alongside Dele Ladimeji, allowed her to collaborate with IAMSU, Og Maco and Powfu, has reframed her place in the industry, and Katie now seems unstoppable.

Unleashing a darker side to her sound, and dropping on Halloween, Katie London’s latest single ‘12th of Never’ gives us a taste of a break-up, freeing herself from the heartbroken introspection and lashing out like never before. Her pop infectiousness is driven by distorted guitar, backed by deep, aggressive bass tones and eerie, glassy synths.

The vocals are some of the most empowered we’ve ever heard from Katie, fully embracing the shadowy personality. She adds, “I had so much fun writing this one and I totally took on the persona of an unhinged ex-girlfriend. It’s different from what I’ve released recently but I’m obsessed with my ‘evil’ artist alter ego!”

With the new track, Katie London showcases her pop versatility, her confidence peaking and making a fantastic impact on her sound.
