Norway’s very own powerhouse pop ban KEiiNO have revealed a brand new song ‘Bed With The Wolf’, dropping on the same day as their eagerly awaited debut album ‘OKTA’. Coming on what would have been Eurovision week this year, the album is a much-needed mood boost as we start an uncertain summer.
Alexandra, Fred and Tom Hugo come from different parts of Norway and have very different backgrounds. But they share a value motto: ‘unity in diversity’, and the message is deeply rooted in the lyrics penned together with Tom Hugo’s husband Alexander Olsson. OKTA is diverse in many ways, and talent from 15 nations contribute to the album which was recorded from way up north in Alta, down to Adelaide in Australia.
Pressing ahead with the release of the album during the COVID-19 crisis was an important decision for the band. “Not being able to travel for interviews or live shows is far from ideal, and there has been some advice for us to postpone the release of the album further” Tom Hugo explains, “But we feel a certain responsibility to make these challenging times easier for ours fans, so we decided to release OKTA anyway. The album is just another step on the KEiiNO journey, and we look forward to performing the songs live as soon as we can.”
KEiiNO will stream a free online release concert on release day, on Facebook, YouTube and selected websites.
New songs from their debut album ‘OKTA’ will be performed for the first time alongside KEiiNO’s beloved hits during the show aired from Kristiansand, Norway. They will also show exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with artist they collaborated with. Not surprisingly, Alexandra, Fred and Tom Hugo are fans of televoting, and towards the end of the show, KEiiNO will let the people select which covers they perform.
