Specialising in a brand of hypnotic electro-pop, East London based singer-songwriter Kiss Kanoo has released her new track ‘I Already Know’. Opening with a melancholic chord progression and haunting background vocals, the song then bursts into an uplifting chorus driven by a pulsing beat and distinctive vocals. The sanguine feeling of the song captures what Kiss Kanoo aims to do: elevate the mood of her listeners.
Describing the track, Kiss Kanoo says: “When we feel down about life problems, we usually have two choices. We can let the feelings overwhelm us, ruining our mood and our day, or we can accept them, rise above them, and simply move on. That’s exactly what ‘I Already Know’ is about, it’s about accepting and moving on.”
‘I Already Know’ was produced by Yuri Stano and mastered by Jaime Estalella, who worked on Ed Sheeran’s ‘Collaborations Project’ album. Kiss Kanoo herself has a star-studded history, having worked in show design with artists such as Janet Jackson and DJ Snake. Her new single is from her upcoming EP ‘Primordial’, which is sure to provide listeners with more compelling and uplifting electro-pop.
