Innovative and immersive audio-visual creations are at the heart of Klsr production. Growing through mesmerising electronic creations, he explores light and texture, using real-time processes and reactive audio. Each experience is singular, no moment quite like the last, but always multi-sensory.
Continuing to forge the fabric of his own reality, pulling apart the essence of each sound at his disposal, Klsr’s most recent release is ‘Connections’. As the audience progresses through the first moments, Klsr’s compositional style is captivating, the world itself collapsing and re-building. The pulsating hum of the synths playing against the dynamic emotional authenticity of strings is unknown and ethereal.
As the pulses continue to dictate an unorthodox pace, piano arpeggios swirl in and out of the forefront, their pluckiness transforming once again from human to alien. The latter moments introduce a cinematic set of percussion, still driven by rogue filters, eventually pulling the music home to an electro-pop backbeat, before falling away into the mist of space.
Echoing the feelings of tension, and the expectation of subversion of natural sounds, Klsr adds, “Connections is inspired by cinematic movements and imagery, combining electronic music with natural elements. I wrote this because of my love of electronic music – the outro of the song is a culmination of everything before it, it breaks out into a beat combining digital and organic sounds. I use a lot of organic sounding elements to begin with to build the tension, and then granular synthesis plays a big part in evolving that sound.”
