Born in Hamilton, Ontario, KVNE is undoubtedly one of the most talented rising artists within the R&B and pop world. Taking influences from the likes of Tory Lanez, Post Malone and Blackbear, KVNE has managed to create a cohesive yet versatile sound, something that has allowed him to surpass 1.5 million streams on Spotify since his debut in 2018, as well as perform at 40 shows since 2019. Among them were performances next to the likes of Lil Windex, Lil Tecca, Madchild, Rich the Kid, and Virginia To Vegas.
Now KVNE is back to business, following up on his 2019 debut EP Cathartic with yet another project, 6-track FWB. Including features from Liquid M, Raven J, and Medylandia, best known for working with Alex Veli, FWB is a stunning project that includes vibes from all genres. ‘Like That’ opens up the tracklist with major R&B vibes that immediately hook listeners in, while ‘Come Close’ is an infectious deep house record. The catchy trumpet melodies and classic piano chords in “Diosa” are something to note as well, while the closing tracks to the EP are breathtaking, driven by trap percussion and booming 808s.
