UK based rockers Kyros have been steaming through the summer of 2023. The band have been proving in abundance their ability to expand on their self-defined ‘progressive synth’ sound, with lauded singles ‘The End In Mind’ and ‘Illusions Inside’ coming alongside a packed touring schedule. Spotted by various music publications, their infectiousness and pioneering attitude has built a very positive reputation.
To close out the summer, comes their new single ‘Esoterica’, a track that does not shy away from cinematic soundscapes and rhythmic intensity. Squelching, ever-changing, pulsating synth bass and tight, thick drums build us up into high-energy, soaring new frequencies, with glowing guitars, futuristic synthesisers and glittery keys surrounding the listener. The vocal performance is equally mystical taking on an anthemic tone that centres the track is its impact. Blurring the lines between other-worldly and distinctly human, each new element adds to the euphoria and complexity right up to the end.
The band explains, “‘Esoterica’ explores the journey towards enlightenment, grappling with inner turmoil to eventually find clarity. It’s about confronting the darker sides of oneself and calling out for a deeper understanding, ultimately finding light in truth.”
