L.A & London based duo Tommy Lefroy share stunning debut song ‘Northern Towns’

Combining the pop sensibilities of Taylor Swift and the indie charm of Phoebe Bridges is a great way to describe the delicate sound of Tommy Lefroy, a newly formed duo that is bound to make waves within the industry. Comprised of singers and songwriters Wynter Bethel and Tessa Mouzourakis, based in Los Angeles and London respectively, Tommy Lefroy are crafting intricate and nostalgic songs with a cinematic flair, bringing together impactful lyrics, dreamy soundscapes, and sharp instrumentation.

Their stunning debut single was just released in the form of ‘Northern Towns’, a soothing, guitar-driven gem with a story to tell. The song started in Wynter’s kitchen in Los Angeles and was finished between Tessa’s London flat and Wynter’s childhood home in Northern Michigan. Starting off with a minimal arrangement filled with ambient chords and intimate guitar melodies, “Northern Towns” slowly transitions into an indie-pop gem with the help of organic drums and electric guitar licks, before fading out again in a classy way.

“We started writing this song about nostalgia for first loves and the places we grew up—it became this realization that qualities we were drawn to in partners were really just things we were hoping to find in ourselves,” explain Tommy Lefroy.
