Dance music and opera might not draw obvious parallels at first, but the two genres have more in common than you might think. Both bare an intrinsic desire to evoke deep emotion from their listeners and with every note command a scale of pure grandeur that cannot compete. La Bohème is the testament.
Under a mesmerising operatic delivery in the sensual French language, a sweltering synth masterfully moves La Bohème toward a looming drop. Tinkering in anticipation on the captivating crescendo, dainty piano keys ring out in isolation before a plummeting bass descends the dancefloor into a dark mainstage eclipse. La Bohème yearns to be experienced live by partygoers in their masses.
Gabry Ponte needs little introduction as one of dance music’s leading forces. An astounding career rocketed by the success of Eiffel 65’s smash hit ‘Blue (da ba dee)’ and certified by his ongoing achievements. DES3ETT’s breakthrough moment came in 2019 with the official release of two epic remixes for scene hero Afrojack.
