“Scattered” was conceived during the first lockdown in London, a period of deep reflection and personal challenge for Larusta. Originally written as a poem, the song explores themes of disarray, personal transformation, and emotional endurance.
Musically, the track is built on a foundation of minor-key chords and features the distinctive tones of a Wurlitzer keyboard. Accompanied by cello, bass, and drums, the song’s dark, brooding composition complements the emotional weight of Larusta’s storytelling.
