Latvian songwriter and future pop queen MARTA has once again captured the ungovernable joyous glow with her single ‘Lovable’. Already, MARTA’s career has taken her from the London College of Music to a strong career on home soil and a pop album of the year award. Over the past decade her audience has gone from local to global, her talent fully recognised as she garners a shortlist spot to represent Latvia at the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest.
‘Lovable’ itself is everything needed for a universal anthem: pulsating foundations, glittered top-line vocals and an emotive thematic tone. Its elated and dreamy tone is contrasted with a sense of trouble and naivety, the passion soaring through the stratosphere on unstable wings. Overall, ‘Lovable’ represents a slice of head-over-heels love-drenched joy, which makes it effortlessly infectious.
MARTA explains, “‘Lovable’ was written across Stockholm and Riga with some incredible, like-minded musicians. It’s a falling-in-love anthem—about that magnetic, irresistible pull towards someone you just can’t get out of your head. We wanted the song to feel dreamy and vibrant, with an energy that captures the excitement and vulnerability of those moments. It’s a piece of my heart wrapped up in a pop track, and I’m beyond thrilled that it’s been shortlisted to potentially represent Latvia in Eurovision 2025. Being discovered by so many ESC fans has been an incredible and humbling experience—it’s amazing to see the song resonate with so many people!”
