LCSM unveil diverse album ‘The Remedy’

Led by IG Culture, LCSM, the shorthand for their full name Likwid Continual Space Motion, has played a pivotal role in breakbeat jazz. The UK scene owes them thanks for the CoOp night at Plastic People, CoOp presents and Selectors Assemble.

The enticing, evolving, high-octane and occasionally ethereal soundscapes of the collective’s new album The Remedy bring together a rich range of musical tones, with each of the many instruments and musicians involved getting their time in the spotlight. The saxophones, flutes, drums, keys, vocals and trombones all come with an infectious presence, able to collaborate, discuss and collide over their musical ideals.

There are elements of dance, the underground scene’s influence rearing its head among the jazz and neo-soul nuance. Each track is a fresh new experience as if arriving at another world in this galaxy of talent, the uniqueness and intricacies on show are a testament to the talent of the collective. Features also play an expansive role, with each individual getting to showcase their perspective, a guide for LCSM to explore the new and pioneering genres.
