leroybroughtflowers releases lo-fi tinged mini album ‘Exit Scene’

London-based singer-songwriter leroybroughtflowers brings a unique blend of musicality to his sound. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, he brings a subtle drive to his songwriting attitude that has enticed the likes of BBC Introducing and Spotify’s playlist editors. Turning heads since 2020, he now returns with a new offering, EP Exit Scene.

Bring honesty and lo-fi pulses to a sound influenced by hip-hop, R&B and jazz, leroybroughtflowers decorates his sonics with infectious grooves and subtle pop infectiousness. His vocals bring a tone of honesty and purity.

Pulsing pianos, punchy drums and choppy samples, he takes these vintage feels and places distinctly contemporary vocals on top, with subtle harmonies and double tracks bringing a home production feel that is warming and sunny.

Showcasing the range of his creativity across the six tracks, it’s clear that the artist has lots to say, and the EP provides the perfect opportunity to bring new audiences into his radiant world.

The artist explains, “The EP embodies a ‘cart postale’ from London to Greece answering the questions of how I’m holding up, what I have been doing and what it means to leave your hometown to chase your dreams. While writing the EP, it became an escape route, a map, and an emergency exit. I kept the phrase “You don’t know where you’re going if you don’t know where you have been” at heart, but time makes us forget that and that’s why these songs exist. Exit Scene picks the concepts of transition and change, closure, reflection, and escapism, and the realization that the summer has ended”
