Compiled of six best friends, Less Popular are a music collective who are doing it differently. Genre-blending extraordinaires, they have fused together their individual styles and talents to create their latest banger ‘All Night’.
Based in Oakland, California, the group use R&B, hip-hop and electronic influences to devise their sound, with ‘All Night’ a prime example of their expertise. The track refuses to stick to one melodic arrangement, weaving in between poignant bridges and 808-laden beats to emulate the confusion of a love gone sour. Speaking on the track’s message, they explain “‘All Night’ is an expression of a relationship on its last legs, conveyed through our late night thoughts and the process of letting go”.
It’s an explosive start to the year, and it looks to be a promising future for Less Popular.
