Lewis Capaldi and Jessie Reyez team up for new song ‘Rush’

Lewis Capaldi has teamed up with Toronto via Colombia singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez for a new track called ‘Rush‘.

The new track follows the Scottish singer’s debut EP, Bloom, which was released last October. ‘Rush‘ features his trademark gravelly vocal ability with an atmospheric pay-off. Listen to the song below.

Rush is about the unadulterated, rawness to break-ups” explains Capaldi, who originally wrote the song between being busy touring & then reflecting on what’s been left in the wreckage. “Although you feel hurt to see somebody you love go, love isn’t a switch you can simply turn on and off as you please.

You don’t want to see them hurt, but then that rawness kicks in where you ask yourself the question;  What if they don’t feel as sad as I do, right now? Does it lessen what we had?

The ‘Bruises‘ singer has been heralded as one to watch worldwide with the media shortlisting him on BBC Sound Of 2018 & Vevo Dscvr, whilst also winning the Breakthrough Artist of the Year in his home country.
