Liam Vincent and The Odd Foxes release new folk-tinged single ‘Watching You’

Midlands-based indie, rock, and folk five-piece Liam Vincent and The Odd Foxes is a special set of people. It’s safe to say the band has a diverse musical history with members ranging from punk rockers to professional violinists, multi-instrumentalists, folk-rock veterans, drummers, and producers. With significant folk, indie, and rock elements in their music, the band likes to alter their focus on delivering a certain message, with each track seeking to communicate something by whispering in your ear or rattling your ribcage. ‘Watching You,’ a new folky smash from Liam Vincent and The Odd Foxes, is an explosive folk-rock melody that will make you want to move.

When talking about the new single, the band reveal:

“Watching You” is a fast and furious tune that shines a spotlight on everything that powerful people would prefer to hide from us. Political sleaze, the erosion of the free press and the right to protest come under fire in the lyrics and accompanying video. Without taking itself too seriously, the track chimes with our philosophy of fighting for what we believe in – although we are just as happy for people to dance to it because it’s a good song as because of the message. Features ‘rage violin’.

The band’s philosophy is based on the belief in humanity and kindness, as well as the refusal to turn a blind eye to injustice, and is built on songs about the modern world – what we do to it and what it does to us. This folk-tinged, happy-go-lucky piece ‘Watching You’ reflecting their mutual profound passion for music shining through with shared principles, is out now.

Make sure you catch the band live.
