Southeast Kansas native, Lisa Michelle Anderson is preparing to self-release her new LP, Get to Somewhere on April 4th. She just released the music video for the single, “Devil on My Back.”
The catchy track mixes elements of Americana, adult contemporary, and alt-pop. It sounds somewhere between Lucinda Williams and Natalie Merchant. The video is a mixture of Anderson performing in a very pink room and found footage collage. The juxtaposition between the room and the footage mirrors Anderson’s mixture of shiny pop and rootsy Americana.
