Lovesick release debut album ‘Hoping This Is The End’

Made up of Goolkasian, of The Elevator Drops and Heather Joy Morgan, painter and vocalist, Lovesick is a new band gaining traction on streaming services. They lace their tracks in love, with help on guitars from Adam Wade, of Funeral Party and Palana, of Palana vs The Man, to create an authentic sound that is captivating an audience.

Marrying a vintage sound with a unique and innovative new approach, Lovesick have recently shared their debut album ‘Hoping This Is The End’. They combine decades of influences, from surf, to new wave, to glam rock, creating something original and vibrant in their signature sound. There’s a melancholic nostalgia that is hard not to enjoy present throughout, with fuzzy electric guitars, laid-back drums, driving bass-lines and the occasional glittery synth appearing across the project. Both Goolkasian’s and Heather Joy Morgan’s vocal performance capture a dreamy atmosphere alongside the grit of a veteran recording artist.

The band share, “Lovesick is here to create beautiful sounds out of the chaos we all live in. Combining the romanticism of the new wave with the power and drive of post-punk and anything in between.”

‘Hoping This Is The End’ is out now, give it a listen!
