Ten years after she burst onto the scene as a child singing sensation, Chicago born Maddi Jane is back in a big way with her glittering pop track ‘FaceTiming Mom’.
Maddi stepped into the limelight at just 12 years old having secured #34 on the Billboard Charts, appearing on The Ellen Show (in its heyday), and building her status as a YouTube pioneer.
Now Maddi is back after honing her skills as a represented songwriter (and getting the seal of approval from Lil’ Wayne)- there is no stopping this rising pop star.
Following the June release of ‘Just Love’, Maddi’s musical maturity shines with ‘FaceTiming Mom’, flowing effortlessly from warm piano melodies to glittering pop rhythms.
Anchored by a magnetic chord progression, her raw lyrics delve into the relatable challenges of moving to a new city. “’FaceTiming Mom’ is a seemingly upbeat pop song, but don’t let the catchy rhythm fool you.” Maddi explains. “This song was written during my darkest days in Los Angeles as an artist. After being thrown around in the music industry throughout my childhood, this is a song about redemption and not giving up, regardless of who comes against you. Sometimes FaceTiming Mom is the best thing to do.”
Maddi Jane has proved she is here to stay with her independent tracks and new sound.
