After gathering a lot of attention for herself in 2015 as a representative of Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest with her debut single “Time To Shine”, Mélanie René went on to reinvent herself and release a handful of singles under her new alias Melyz. Her debut EP Don’t Tell On Us came about a year ago, and ever since, the talented singer, songwriter, and performer has been working non-stop in order to make the next steps in her career.
Now, she just released her latest single ‘Bad Together’, a smooth yet dark electronic/pop crossover that portrays how toxic and destructive a relationship can become when it gets overly passionate. Separating the single from anything that’s on the market right now, the production of “Bad Together” is a great blend of ambient pop sounds with low-tempo house music, while Melyz’s vocals are expertly-layered and processed, further contributing to the eerie feeling.
