“The title Invisible Clockworks refers to the unseen mechanisms in nature—the Sun, Moon, and tides—that inspire awe and beauty,” Gizm0 explains. “It’s also a metaphor for the way the elements in my songs work together to capture a listener’s attention and create a connection.”
Building on the introspection of his earlier works, such as his 2020 EP Sleepdiving, Gizm0 shifts focus on Invisible Clockworks to embrace a brighter outlook. “Sleepdiving was about escaping into a dreamscape during the isolation of the pandemic,” he recalls. “This new project is about finding hope in life’s natural rhythms and in ourselves.”
A Self-Taught Visionary
Gizm0’s journey is a testament to his relentless curiosity and love for experimentation. Inspired by electronic artists like Kidnap and Ben Böhmer, he began producing original music in 2018, blending his love for music with an interest in physics and the cosmos. Over time, he’s honed his skills not only as a composer but as a producer and engineer, taking complete ownership of his creative process.
Each track on Invisible Clockworks was written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Gizm0, with cover art also created by the artist himself. The result is a cohesive and deeply personal project that reflects his passion and meticulous attention to detail.
