Moonshine heavies release third single ‘Two Fingers’

Five-piece alt-rock band Moonshine Heavies are back with their new single ‘Two Fingers’. The London-based outfit have headlined shows across London including the O2 Academy Islington and Camden Assembly, building a reputation as an exciting new live band. They now look ahead to cementing themselves as deserving of a seat at the table and delivering on the hype that surrounds them.

‘Two Fingers’ features a blend of the modern indie-rock scene with elements of classic-rock brought in beside it. Intricate and tight throughout, despite it being just the third release from the band, they already seem assured in their sound and ability. With guitars and ethereal vocal harmonies reminiscent of the 70s, the band develop the song with perfect pacing, ending in a final chorus that leaves you begging for more.

On their new single, the band shares, “Although the song is drenched in hazy summer vibes, beneath the initial sunkissed simmer the true core of the song centres around the concept of raising two fingers to someone after a breakup. (You know the V sign!)

The lyrics elaborate on the feeling you have when you think that you know someone, but then suddenly realise that they are in fact a stranger. Frustration comes easily when someone attempts to hide their own selfishness within an apparent selfless act – but you can either choose to be upset, or you can dust yourself down, boogie and raise two fingers instead.”

Set to sky rocket ‘Two Fingers’ showcases an exciting new band in Moonshine Heavies.
