1990s rock revival group MOSAICS have had their music featured on a range of TV shows from Sunday Brunch to Killing Eve. As well as telly appearances, they’ve sold out multiple shows and headed on UK tours.

MOSAICS’s new indie anthem ‘Late To The Party’ is fantastically energetic. The first moments are a pull-start on an engine of soaring lead guitars, busy drum lines and shimmering backdrop synths. Diving into the first verse, the band settle down, still feeling fit to burst, but holding it down with muted rhythms and empowered vocals.

Shooting up into the choruses, it’s a real infectious stadium filler, pulling sounds of the ‘90s into contemporary indie heights. The back half brings an explosive guitar solo and a final chest-thumping run of fiery delivery.

Owen Castillo (lead vocalist) explains: “Late to the Party chronicles the dying embers of a chaotic relationship. The feelings are messy, the lines unclear and an absolute separation is inevitable, but unwanted. You cling to your soon-to-be ex-partner like a life preserver in an ocean, clinging to every second of attention you can get, before you lose them forever.

The track was composed really rapidly in one half an hour session by myself and Stu. After a bit of a departure from our usual style on our previous single (Different People ft James McCartney) we fell upon a back to basics straight up indie disco rock song. ”
