Brighton quartet Nature TV has unveiled ‘One Step Forward’ a new single ‘One Step Forward’, alongside announcing their debut album Unlucky for Some. With it, comes a music video, playing on their nostalgic tone and featuring BAFTA award-winning comedian Alex Horne of Taskmaster.
The video plays into Top Of The Pops tropes, but the music, though hazy, dream-like and reflective, holds a gorgeously modern indie romance. The guitars are fuzzy, the bass is a consistent groove, the drums are gentle but driving, and the vocals are flowing and expressive.
Through this early entry into 2025, the band seem to have a bright future and has already been supported by BBC Radio 1, Radio X, DSPs and the press, and performed across the world.
Once again, their sound is inviting and their creativity is something that brings on a smile.
Alex Horne shares, “I’d never been in a music video before so I said yes instantly. I have a pretty big ego and also Nature TV sent me a nice t-shirt so it ticked all the boxes. I loved Top of the Pops as a kid, it was unmissable Thursday evening viewing – It turns out some of the hosts weren’t necessarily ideal but I’m still glad I’ve now got footage of me presenting the show. That’s another ambition ticked off. Next I’ve got to score a freekick for Liverpool.”
Bass player Josh adds, “Making the video for One Step Forward was an absolute dream! It was incredible to have little Alex Horne in it as we’re all huge fans, we still don’t know why he said yes! To also have some of our lovely fans get involved really warmed our hearts, they bought so much energy all day.”
