Formed in Minneapolis in 2009, The Rope weaves post-punk, darkwave, and gothic threads into a uniquely dark and driving sound, drawing influence from bands ranging from The Chameleons and Killing Joke to The Sisters of Mercy.
Known for their dynamic live performances and DIY ethos, they have built a loyal following both home and abroad.
Over the years, The Rope has released several EPs and their debut album ‘Lillian.’
Their new album ‘Nightbird’ is set to drop on Friday 4th October 2024.
The forthcoming album features the titular track ‘Nightbird’, which instantly captivates with powerful synth melodies and heavy riffs.
‘Nightbird’ then sees The Rope add lively and unique vocals to the track as they craft this anthemic song.
