Noah Bouchard has been tagged as an interesting up-and-comer since his debut EP ‘Sheep Are People’ in 2018. Receiving a vast array of publication support across the UK and France, recognised on Spotify editorial playlists and multiple radio features, the artist has continued to grow into his sound and push new inspirations. Having been selected for Youth Music’s Next Generation Fund and BBC Wales Horizons Launchpad Fund in previous years, 2024 is set to see the release of Noah’s new album ‘Love Of My Life’, released on his own creative imprint This Old Sky.
Fans’ most recent glimpse into the forthcoming project is the empowering single ‘Reconnecting’. Opening with relentless lo-fi piano, grittily firing out chords, the track suddenly bursts into life. Pounding kick drums, crisp snares and hard-hitting bass notes are the foundation for twinkling melodies and fierce vocal delivery. Noah’s delivery is impassioned as ever, with his reflective lyricism balancing an outwardly portrayed confidence with a re-telling of the struggles in his journey so far.
Towards the end of the track, listeners are welcomed into an idyllic clearing, with vocalist Elina Lee taking on an angelic ethereality as delicate melodies swirl around Noah’s spoken word. One final frenzied chorus sees audiences out with a gripping climax.
Noah shares what the single means to him, “’Reconnecting’ represents a peak in my journey, portraying the feeling of hope, self-discovery and confidence after overcoming and processing the challenges and difficulties of the past. I wanted to make a high-energy, motivational track that will give the listener the same emotions I felt while creating it.”
