Pilar Victoria unveils the elegant intentions of ‘Dancing In The Sand’

Pilar Victoria made her debut at fourteen years old, single ‘Wilted Flowers’ amassing over two million streams and setting Pilar on a path towards major industry interest. In the five years since, Pilar has continued to refine her songwriting, crafting delicate, poetic performances across a slew of singles and an EP. One of Pilar’s greatest champions is Zane Lowe, who commended her authenticity on Apple Music 1.

The artist’s latest single, working with Grammy-winning, multi-platinum producer Happy Perez, is ‘Dancing In The Sand’, filled with elegant intentions and ethereality. Bringing together arpeggios that cascade like a hidden waterfall and the warm rise of synth pads, the track’s driving force comes from a bobbing acoustic guitar rhythm, grooving bass line and firm backbeat.

You can taste the sweetness of Pilar’s creative atmosphere, her idealistic, dreamy interpretation of love falling on your ears like a lost angel. All the while, this glimmering alternative, indie tapestry is sprinkled with a sparkling pop appeal, the melodies shining beyond the confines of the music.

Pilar adds, “Dancing in the sand was a song I wrote about realisations I had when being in a relationship that wasn’t meant for me.”
