After delivering a series of stellar wide-ranging alt-rock hits, the Canadian singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer Pinwheel Valley has delivered his tunefully restorative acoustic single, Healing, from his own recording studio Hot Soap Studios in Cyprus.
For this tonal palette, he painted with soulfully psychedelic indie-folk notes from his acoustic guitar while his vocals bled haunting consolation and spiritual sanctity. On paper, it sounds like a stripped-back affair; on the airwaves, Healing boasts a powerfully magnetic resonance – especially for anyone that knows just how much grit and faith it takes to walk away from the negative experiences and realities that have shaped us.
Healing is an extension of Pinwheel Valley’s determination to delve into the metaphysical and reflect the profound beauty of being human aurally back at us. At the start of his career, his focus was on lyrically attacking the injustices infringed on innocent lives. With his most recent releases, such as Sprit City Kiss, he’s found splinters of serendipity and sonically run with him.
Pinwheel Valley plans to follow on from the release of Healing with the release of his upcoming EP that is due for release in February 2022.
