Montclair, New Jersey’s Raised on Candy recorded their new self-titled album at Electrical Audio in Chicago with Steve Albini. It is one of the last album Albini recorded, if not THE last one. The latest music video from the album is “Nishuane Park.”
Directed by Maximilien Collins, the video stars Francis Lehman and Julianna Penna as teenagers in the forest. Shot home movie style, the bumpy footage includes lots of running through the woods until they come to a clearing where Raised on Candy is playing. There are a couple of nice shots of the band’s unique drum construction which does not include a traditional bass drum, snare, hi-hat, and crash set up.
