Rising Indie Talent Alex Spencer Releases Sophomore EP ‘There’s Gotta Be More’

At just seventeen, Alex Spencer has transformed from a Manchester street busker to a standout indie talent. Having been praised by BBC 6 Music and Radio X and signing with Modern Sky UK at the very beginning of his career, he is certainly capturing national attention. Alex’s unique blend of pop-tinged rock and introspective lyrics have made a huge impression in his home city and beyond, and his sophomore EP, ‘There’s Gotta Be More’, out today, captures this in all of its glory.

This summer, Alex supports The Lathums, Jake Bugg, and Jamie Webster, while unveiling his new EP, There’s Gotta Be More. The EP explores themes of childhood innocence and adult realities with tracks like “Love And Let Go” and “Nightmares.” Alex describes it as a raw, reflective journey meant to connect deeply with listeners.

From his debut EP One Step Forward to sold-out shows in Manchester, Alex’s rise is unstoppable. With 2024 promising more live shows and new music, Alex Spencer’s future in indie music looks exceptionally bright.
