Rushil speaks to more than just his Indian heritage and following. He is now a London based singer-songwriter who has delved into multiple genres, experimenting with different sounds and artists along the way. Starting at a young age and becoming a well known artist in India, he then took to the shores of the UK and has been writing ever since. His latest release ‘Hold This’ is really something to behold.
The track opens with what we’re assuming is Rushil’s upbringing of Indian Classical music, before his powerful and swooning vocal enters with a message of hope, love and sincerity that speaks volumes. The song switches in mood and tempo so drastically, with some beautifully arranged strings and minimal percussion behind, giving Rushil the perfect stage to showcase his talents. Collaborating with the wonderful Abi Sampa on this track, the pair work in harmony together, bringing a real richness and warmth that isn’t heard nearly as much in today’s world. It’s a treat for the ears, and Rushil is a master of his craft.
