Bristol-based creative SIG SALI has unveiled a new single, ‘Bad Man Horror’, taken from the upcoming EP Chaos In My Mind. The track starts with a euphoric, swirling, synthetic beat, bringing together pulsating electronics, plucky guitars and a pounding kick drum. The vocals create a space-aged swell, brightly and vibrantly delivering a personal and reflective tale. The production is unique, processing every element and bringing it to a massive climax, darting around the soundscape right until the end.
SIG adds, “I’ve always had these hectic, vivid dreams since I was a kid—not sleep paralysis, but strange, emotional, recurring dreams that feel so real they shake me to my core. Most of the time, they’re wild and far-fetched, like something out of a fictional movie. But every now and then, they’re so tied to reality that I wake up breathless, completely overwhelmed.
One dream in particular really got to me—I couldn’t shake it. I went to work the next day still trembling with anxiety, and it took hours to convince myself it was just a dream. That night, it was still haunting me, so I wrote it down, and that’s how Bad Man Horror was born. The connection between my reality and subconscious in that dream was so intense that once the song was written, I felt this massive relief. Writing it was like therapy and allowed me to process and let go of something I hadn’t realized was weighing on me.”
First released in 2022, SIG SALI has received steady but sure attention for its sound as it flourished. Now entering a new space that is transformative in sound but still forward-looking, The Chaos In My Mind EP is set to be emotive and bold.
